Are you one of those people that has shelves full of fertilisers and soil amendments and have no idea what to do with them? Maybe you understand the basics but want more.
It’s not only important to have a better understanding of a plants soil and mineral requirements. It’s important to have a deeper understanding and the ability to put this into practice

During this workshops we will go beyond a plants Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium requirements. Beyond the importance of pH and look closely at the how and why of fertilisers.

From basic plant requirements to the benefits of more organic compounds and a look at some pros and cons of commonly used household fertilisers.

We will be discussing:

🌿 How plants take up minerals in the wild (mass flow).
🌿 A range of store bought fertilisers, their makeup and use, some marketing pitfalls and the differences between organic and synthetic, granular and liquid.
🌿 The importance of using organic matter in the continued improvement of the garden, how this improves your plants ability to use fertilisers and other benefits.
🌿 Soil, organic matter and enhancing cation exchange capacity as a vehicle for better nutrient flow.
🌿 Humates, fulvates and the range and function of micronutrients.
🌿 Timed and seasonal application and release of nutrients in the garden for hardier plants, seasonal abundance and long term beauty.
🌿 There will also be some time to answer your questions.
